On behalf of our clients, we have helped:
- To resolve a contentious anti-trust issue with the Justice Department;
- To secure federal funding to construct and develop programs for a medium-sized New England college’s multi-purpose sports and recreation forum, which serves as a demonstration for energy conservation;
- To develop an integrated, D.C. and nationwide grassroots, public relations and government relations campaign to save a critical nuclear submarine program from being cut from the federal budget;
- To address stringent FDA labeling requirements;
- To secure federal appropriations for a university-based interdisciplinary nutrition research program, which has since become one of the premier research institutes in the country;
- To prevent four major television networks from being forced to divest stations by working with the FCC to arrive at a compromise agreement with regard to media ownership caps;
- To obtain federal funding for a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab at a southern hospital system;
- To navigate federal land use policy in order to secure permits for a corporation to grow its produce;
- To prepare a comprehensive presentation directed at the Secretary of Defense, the state's Congressional delegation, and the Armed Services and Appropriations Committees of the U.S. Congress, addressing each one of the Base Realignment and Closure Act's (BRAC) criteria on behalf of a military base recommended for closure, resulting in that base being removed from the closure list;
- To secure major federal funding for the construction of a mid-western technological university’s Center for Applied Metallurgical, Minerals and Materials Research;
- To successfully devise and implement a Washington-based crisis control strategy on behalf of a major national industry coalition;
- To secure a significant amount of federal funding for a large state university’s Ocean Engineering Research Center;
- To devise and implement an integrated government affairs, public affairs and grassroots effort to demonstrate the viability and necessity of an intratheater airlifter manufactured by our client and singled out for review by the Department of Defense. Our efforts resulted in continued federal funding for the airlifter;
- To secure significant federal funding for construction and operation of a major New England University’s Center for Photonics;
- To create and direct a coalition of major multinational corporations interested in doing business in Vietnam, resulting in the end of a 15-year ban on investment in Vietnam and enabling the coalition members to be some of the first companies allowed to do business there;
- To work with a major, national investment firm to educate lawmakers on an issue of critical importance, which resulted in our helping to prevent overregulation of the firm;
- To obtain significant congressional appropriations for cancer research and equipment at a Texas hospital system;
- To pass an extension of Internet-related legislation critical to a wireless communications company’s interests;
- To promote legislation to preserve the status quo for current employee benefit plan participants at a large corporation;
- To secure federal funding for roadway access improvements, as well as significant support for conservation, education and to construct a Center for Aquatic Life and Conservation at an aquarium;
- To promote VOIP-related regulatory developments favorable to a large telecommunications company; and,
- To successfully assist a major paint company navigate and address lead paint abatement issues in Washington.
