Funding BioSecurity and Health

Ensuring Safety In Earthquake Zones

A southern California medical center approached Cassidy & Associates to establish a public-private partnership with the federal government after having been built and operated for nearly 30 years with only privately-raised dollars.

Facing an exploding population for health care services in their community and new California seismic safety standards for hospital facilities, the medical center embarked on a capital campaign that included leveraging federal dollars to help their fundraising activities.

Federal Funds Provide A Critical Support

Since 2002, we have helped the medical center secure more than $7.2 million to support critical community services:

  • $3,000,000 for their information system and Storage Area Network
  • $2,000,000 for their BioSecurity program
  • $750,000 to help build and equip their comprehensive cancer center
  • $500,000 to help build and equip a cancer center focused on prostate cancer
  • $350,000 to help build and equip one of their community health centers
  • $500,000 to upgrade the medical center’s emergency room
  • $150,000 to help build the new medical center pavilion

Referring A Trusted Advisor

The successful working relationship established with the medical center led to business referrals with a presidential library, a small liberal arts college, and a health sciences center.
