Cassidy Strengthens Public Policy Team With New Addition

WASHINGTON – Noting that consequences of federal action from Washington impacts the bottom line of corporations, local and state governments and nonprofits alike, Gerry Cassidy, Founder and CEO of Cassidy & Associates, announced today that Janie Wise, legislative affairs specialist with the Department of Energy, has joined the firm as a Senior Associate.

“Janie brings the benefit of a legislative and regulatory perspective to our team,” Cassidy said. “That hands on experience from both sides is essential to our success in protecting and connecting clients around the world. Many of our clients need timely policy intel along with the authoritative practical analysis to help better measure their Washington risk and Janie’s experience at the Department of Energy and House Science and Technology Committee will help us continue to provide them the best of Washington.”

Wise joins the C&A Energy and Environment team from her most recent position as a Legislative Affairs Specialist in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs with the U.S. Department of Energy in which she served as a Department liaison with House and Senate offices on DOE policies and action and helped facilitate meetings with senior DOE officials and stakeholder groups. She previously served on the staff of the U.S. House Committee on Science and Technology as a research assistant in energy and environment and also investigations and oversight.

Wise earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of the South and is currently finishing her studies as a Master of Science candidate in Engineering Management at The George Washington University.
