The diversity of his leadership positions within the Department of Energy, as a senior executive for two of the nation's largest investor-owned electric utilities, and as the President of his own consulting firm gives Mr. Dennis the ability to uniquely understand and appreciate the many vantage points intrinsic to the most complicated and sensitive issues in Washington.
Mr. Dennis has worked on nearly every facet of energy policy, including electric utility policy, regulation and tax matters, transmission development, facilitating power generation, and procuring federal financing for landmark energy projects. He also has a strong track record helping his clients promote and win government incentives for new energy technologies, the most recent engagements involving the development and deployment of advanced coal and carbon capture and storage technologies. Not only does Mr. Dennis advocate for his clients needs, he works as a strategic partner with his clients developing legislative, regulatory, and third-party execution strategies that identify and create exceptional opportunities for his clients while working to anticipate and prevent threats to their interests.
Mr. Dennis also represents a major automobile trade organization on issues from CAFÉ Standards and climate change to safety regulation and alternative vehicle and fuel technologies. His experience working on electric vehicles and electric vehicle infrastructure dates back to when he helped develop the largest electric vehicle fleet in the nation at Southern California Edison, making him intimately familiar with the current infrastructure, liability, and performance issues facing alternative vehicle manufacturers today.
Mr. Dennis’s expertise in new technologies, understanding of existing and next generation energy and transmission infrastructure, sensitivity to climate change and environmental issues, and knowledge of critical industries like the electric utility and auto industry, makes him a strategic asset to any company looking to advance its agenda and effectively engage Washington in this evolving global economy.
