Senior Vice President

As a skilled advocate for corporate and non-profit clients in the legislative arena, Kevin has represented some of the biggest names in the high tech industry on issues ranging from taxes and pensions to health care and privacy. His efforts have saved clients millions of dollars and opened doors to new opportunities for them.

With two decades of experience in senior staff positions on Capitol Hill, Kevin has a deep understanding of how to help clients successfully navigate the legislative process. While on the Hill, Kevin was named one of the 50 Most Influential Staffers in Congress by Roll Call. His first-hand knowledge of the key steps in passing legislation, the competing pressures that affect lawmakers’ decisions and how to have the greatest impact on the final product make him a trusted advocate and advisor for clients with high-stakes issues before Congress.

Kevin has a well-earned reputation for hard work, tremendous attention to detail, and staying one step ahead of the curve. During his lengthy government career, these qualities enabled him to advance from an entry-level press position for a Midwestern Senator to become the Chief of Staff to one of the largest Committees in the House of Representatives – the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. In the private sector, those same qualities have helped Kevin conduct winning campaigns for clients in diverse areas such as taxes, pensions, technology and federal procurement.

At the Government Reform Committee, Kevin helped write the law that created the Homeland Security Department, and his exhaustive work helped win passage of the bill. While at the Committee, he developed an expertise in federal procurement laws and laws that affect the high-tech industry. He uses these skills at Cassidy where he collaborates with the Federal Marketing Team to help clients win federal contracts.

Kevin is an expert on the Congressional oversight process, and his extensive experience in staging high-profile Congressional hearings is an asset to clients who are affected by Congressional investigations.

In addition, Kevin has a wealth of experience in foreign policy. As a long-time aide to a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Kevin played a role in numerous Congressional debates on international policy. He maintains strong relationships in this area that are an asset to clients with international interests.
“We believe in the team approach at Cassidy. We pool our skills to get results for clients. It’s a successful formula.”
